Ah yes, the old "in the doghouse" saying.
I've always hated this saying because it presupposes that women are allowed to have this 'doghouse card' as I call it, to be pulled.
Don't do ______ or else you'll be in the 'doghouse.' Whatever that means.
What does 'in the doghouse' really mean anyway? A woman withholding sex due to a grudge? The woman not speaking to her man becasue of a grudge?
While I understand that this is supposed to be a joke-y advirtisement for whatever they're selling, it's important to look at the social undertones that make this type of advirtisement resonante with an audience.
And by the way, on the far left side of the picture (it got cut off) the man is vaccuming while the woman lounges around on the couch.
